You will receive 1x Knowledge point in Mining and 15x Artisan's Mettle for the first time you mine each of the two types of Metamorphic nodes, and the first time you Overload a Metamorphic. The Propogated Spore can contain a large number of Zeralak Glowspores. However, if you are a double gatherer with Herbalism, this has a chance to produce a Propogated Spore when you pick a Lambent herb (the new herb modifier in 10.1), which then consumes the buff. If you mine another Metamorphic ore within the time limit, the buff duration is extended. You also get the buff Zaralek Glowdust, which lasts for 2 minutes and "covers you in glowing dust that is perfect to assist in the propogation of spores". Mining a Metamorphic node yields a small number of Zaralek Glowspores, a new crafting reagent in Patch 10.1. Both Serevite and Draconium can be Metamorphic, and show a purple glow. There is a new mining deposit modifier in Patch 10.1, which only appears within the new Zaralek Caverns: Metamorphic.
