This guide will teach you how to make one of the best low-level armors in the game. The runewords are incredibly useful once you learn how to use each recipe. Diablo II: Resurrected has a lot of complex systems, and you really should learn them. Knowing how to interact with this system can give you a big boost in power. Some of the best early game options come from very simple Rune Words when the gear they make is used just right. Check out my The Countess Farming Guide for more information. When dealing with Rune Words in Diablo II: Resurrected, you have a ton of options. The Countess has a guaranteed chance to always drop a High Rune and can even drop more than one. It's also possible to 'ebug' a piece of Ethereal Armor that you find which will increase the Defense bonuses by 50%, check out my Ebugging Guide for more information.įarming High Runes: Out of all locations in the game one stands above the rest for farming specifically High Runes, the Countess during Act 1. If you find a 'Superior' piece of armor with +Enhanced Defense, a Superior Weapon with +Enhanced Damage or a Helm/Weapon that has +Skill bonuses for a certain class, all of these will remain on the final Rune Word that is created. Keep in mind that all Rune Words you create will retain any pre-existing bonuses found on the item. All you need to make this Rune Word is a Tal and an Eth High rune, both of which are extremely easy to find early on in the game. The Stealth Rune Word is the earliest Rune Word you can make using Chest Armor in the game and it's one of the most powerful (if not the most powerful) early piece of equipment that you can get for your character.
